Program notes: “Storm the Castle” is an ominous and bombastic piece that depicts the siege and
eventual destruction of a castle. The dissonant harmonies and frantic rhythms lend
themselves to creating a haunting and chaotic atmosphere. “Storm the Castle” was
written for the Corn City Brass Quintet.
